that is one of the best presents you can bring from LV
Car is awesome, I saw it in a magazine and loved it!
I am going to Vegas tomorrow, are there any more of these left around there ? :D
Actually Eric didn't do anything to the car at all, but he would chime in anytime and try to take credit. Jeff Fleisher was the owner that put the euro bumpers on the car, installed the Alpinas, and steering wheel. The car was kinda clean when I bought it as Jeff really took care of the car, but it was filthy in many different areas. For instance, I spent 11 hours just in the trunk alone cleaning up all the dirt-it was really a mess!!! The interior took quite a bit of work as well and I added the Scheel seats and had the leather matched at Jim's Upholstery. I also spent about 40 hours just on the undercarriage. The car also had 205s all the way around with 7" wheels in the front and 8" wheels in the rear, so I bought the correct sizes with all new tires.
Just for my own records, I would like to know how much the car was sold for. If you don't want it public, please PM me the details. I am sure I will see you soon, though.
Im actually not sure how much he picked it up for. I will let you know when I actually find out. What are the tire/rim sizes now? Every car that I have seen that has had you involved in any way has been the ultimate version of which ever car it was. I wish to christ he would have gotten one of your E28 ///M5s. Its up there with the E30 ///M3 in terms of dream car to have. I have one of em. I spend so much time near your cars at Bfest and CCA events. I have introduced myself to you a couple of times because I know your cars so well, it seems like I know YOU well as well haha. Ill come up to you at Bfest.
Wow. very nice shape. Is that a real M535 or just a simili? Gorgious anyway.
Lee
Its not a M535 nor is it a replica. The front end is a BBS piece I believe. Ron, can you tell me what has been done tot he engine? If I remember, didnt it have a 3.5L in it? And some other engine work?
There are only a few things done to the driveline. The thermal reactor has been removed as they caused way too much heat and actually warped the original head. So, the head has been replaced. There is now a 5 speed in place of the original 4 speed and that really does make a difference. Also, Jeff added some of the biggest sway bars that I have ever seen...massive! I have a set of springs for the car, but never got around to putting them on. The Alpinas are staggared 16x7F and 16x8R. I put on new Sumitomos 205-55-16 and 245-45-16s in the rear. They will rub with people in the rear, but that would always give me an excuse to keep people the EFF out of my car. I also hid the seatbelts under the rear seat, so I could tell the skanks that wanted in my fresh leather, that the car wasn't legal!:D
I meet so many people at all of these events, and I know we have met before, but I now will not forget who you are! I know the Imperial Palace was asking $45k for the car while it was in their collection.
