Your lighting issue(s) could be a result of the LKM, which you can more than likely source at any Pull-A-Part/Pick-A-Part for less than $10. The LKM controls interior and exterior lighting so it may solve more than one issue.

the only lighting issue is the pass low beam and pass tail lights. neither have power to them

I'd try just replacing the actual LKM (the black box) first, and if that doesn't solve the problem, then try replacing the "mustard relay."
I have an LKM in my FS thread, let me know if you are interested, although going through P-a-P will likely be cheaper.- Trey

that site is down, other than the link.
anything you can tell me about heating problems? blower motor works fine, but the heat is always on. im assuming the heater valve is bad, but it could be the temp controls.
also the driver door does not lock, and the pass front door lock pull tries to fall into the door.... i.e. nothing supporting it.

Joe, check the dial next to the center vents (pictured below, circled in red) as that is a commonly overlooked reason why the temperature might be off.
If that isn't it may need a freon recharge, outside of that, I don't know much about that sort of thing. The locking issue might be a driver's door lock barrel or lock actuator, of it could have to do with some of the wires in the door jamb being pinched, thus resulting in some functions not working. Your passenger door lock situation sounds like it may be a bent rod somewhere, pull the door panel and see what may be obstructing it.
I urge you to look at the two sites below, they have a wealth of information regarding E32's and E34's alike.
Shogun's Tips and Tricks is a site for BMW fans, mechanics, and enthusiasts, a valuable source of information and data for learning about, troubleshooting and repairing your BMW, researching BMW E32 7-series, 728, 735, 740, 745, 750.
Good luck.- Trey

No real progress pics, i was bent on getting this thing done.
Dropped the ridiculously overbuilt subframe and pressed new bushings. While i was at it i replaceed all the seals in the diff and topped it off with Redline fluid. Replace the driver shaft center bearing.. the two front yokes are bad, but i dont care enough to have them replaced [$$$] New rear rotors and pads. New drag link, welded the exhaust back together.
The door locks are screwey. The drivers side had a mechanical failure that was simple to fix. The pass front has a 3 button switch that is activated by a cam on the tumbler. The pass side was telling the central locking it was on deadbolt all the time.
Should have it back together today, ill get pics of smokey burnouts too.
FYI its got a big case 2.75LSD
