Finally I did some work on my e30

Since we are getting some nice weather i was able to do a little work to my DD.
Lot's of D.I.Y. paint.....window trim from chrome to black...i hate chrome! rocker work and painted, front valance worked on and painted, "is" lip installed, fogs re-wired, 2" tachometer wired in, front and rear calipers painted, trunk leak fixed, a few other small holes fixed (Damn east coast winters & salt!) Had a new magnaFlow 14803 Street Series muffler installed.
I still need to fix my fuel filler pipe, swap out my fuel pump, re-build my rear valance.....always something to do when you drive a 20 year old car as your daily driver all year round.

A little paint under the hood, while i had the valve cover off i checked the valves gap, they were within 0.010in so i left them.

    Euro grill

the car looks good . I think it would look great without the whole red&black theme , another exhaust , and ditch that "euro stuff" in the front grill
Apart from that I dig it

Don't know how to explain, but driving E30 is like having sex with a girl of your dreams, but the girl is a bit inexperienced, so you have to show her what to do and she will do it beautifully! ohhh man... after I got the 5sp tranny in it, it is all new love all over again! :)))

That would be ditching all the work i did to it...lol I like the red and black.... pretty much used black because i can't match up the red....Where you see black like the rockers, valance(s) gas lid etc... is where i did some rot/rust repair. I have no cash for a new paint job. Also remember i did own a honda civic hb, i like some the Japanese ricer cars.... and like the twin tip muffler i put on my e30.

I wouldn't want everyone to be the same,or build the same cars... that would be pretty boring :)

Yeah, I thought about it but i don't think it that would be easy to do?

I was going to sand and polish the letters but every e30 i see has that done,
so i left it one solid color. I do like the idea of painting the letters & stripes black.... I do have a spare valve cover....maybe i'll do something with it?

I did however sand off the paint on the intake logo.

i like how your car looks, but if that muffler is one of those ebay thingies, i can tell you from personal experience that they make way way way too much noise and seemed to restrict the power on my old car.

                Thanks,

It's a magnaFlow 14803 Street Series muffler from a local shop. It sounds good and the car seems to work as it did with the stock muffler.

MagnaFlow manufactures the best exhaust systems, mufflers, pipes and catalytic converters; now being sold directly from our website! We proudly manufacture products in the USA using premium components and the latest technology. Voted 2017 SEMA Manufacturer of the Year!

This is one of my current projects (one of many.) Can't wait to see em done, half way there.

I say that the intake and valve cover should match though, shit or get off the pot, pick a color and do em both!

Same goes for the rest of the car, too much going on there, you have red and black all over the car! I love the red and black theme, but it should be more subtle in my opinion. The rest looks decent for a budget job though.
