I know the paint's in bad shape but I was getting sick of sealed beams.

Here are the (nasty) comparison pics



Smilies (and euro grills) on the driver's side, sealed beams (and US grills) on the passenger's.



Low beam comparison. That's with a brand new sealed beam too. Dispersion is much better with the projector, big surprise. That hot spot was getting on my nerves. Don't mind the aiming.



High beam comparison. The euro high beams (which I suspect are very similar to the DOT ellipsoid high beams) are a large, very bright spot. Although the sealed beam high beam technically has more width due to the outer high beams, I've found the smiley highs to be far more useful.

This is a simple fix. You just need to rotate your projector. I'll get some pictures in a bit.

First I need to figure out how to rechrome the reflector bowls. I already got some high temp aluminum tape, that didn't make much of a difference as it wasn't reflective enough. I haven't found reflective paint that's able to withstand over 200F, so either I find some good paint or... think I could send those suckers in to get chrome plated? ;)

I also have plans for a projector retrofit, but that will come when I have moar time and $.
