I was there shooting a Tesla Roadster for an online publication, and had to grab a few shots of the E30 in some pretty killer company. It was filthy after a few days of rain and pollen, but thankfully the lighting hid it very well.

It was super neat. Double neat, even. You know what else was neat?

The weekend before, I was at a friend's house, and one of their family friends showed up driving a 250GT California. That was neat. In fact it was so neat that it upstaged my other friend who was driving his brand new GTR, which was the car that I was really looking forward to experiencing that day.

Man oh man, the neatness was in full effect that day. I'm talking SUPER neat. Neato de tutti neati, even.

One of the Club owners spent a good 15 minutes looking over my car, inspecting the engine install, etc, and when he backed it out of the garage I had to let him take the car down the street for a rip. He came back with a huge smile on his face, and seemed genuinely impressed with the acceleration, which was nice coming from a guy who owns some of the world's fastest supercars.

He was probably just being charitable.

I said in that "most beautiful car ever" thread that it was without question, my all-time pick for most beautiful car in the world. I have been in love with that car more than any other ever since I saw it in Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

We are on the same page when it comes to that car. I literally could not believe my eyes when we walked outside and there it was, sitting there, magnificence incarnate. He has two, one SWB, and one LWB.

I am going to be heading out to that house more frequently this season. :D
