I am new, here is my pile

    it was free.....

I plan to put a different engine and trans in it, not sure what yet, I also plan to lower it, allot, among other things. it might be a while longer till I really start on it, I'm pretty distracted with my toyota pickup.

my friend who goes by Janderson on here referred me to this site

well, I saw some other non-E30 bmw's on here, so I figured it was no big deal, and I've been hearing about this site for almost a year, so now that I have a bmw, I figure I might as well join.

indeed, I want to really hack into this and I didn't want something I'd feel bad about potentially screwing up, nor could I afford it.

once I tear into this (which will hopefully be fairly soon), I'll put a thread in the project forum

Get ready for some suspension work. E21s can be baller though. Pick up some single headlight buckets and grills from an early 316 and I'll love you.

I see no pile, only a free example of fine German engineering.

Also +50hp for the dried pine needle mod. Good luck rescuing it!

I was thinking about trying to make a grill, but I'm very open to that possibility. I think my only option on the core support is to make a new one since that one is so smashed, unless I cut one out of another car and welded it in, so my grill possibilities will be endless, and the hood might be a bitch to mount.

as far as suspension, I plan to raise the strut towers, remount the rear control arms, possibly make new front control arms, and do whatever else I choose to do along the way of making it low.
