    replaced my pile

this was $250, I think I can get it running real cheap, going to part out the other one I have that was free and have the junk yard peeps haul it away.

$250, not bad. Now M20 that sucka and work on the suspension to have a fun daily. Oh and splash on some paint if you feel inclined to, not necessary if it's just a beater daily though. Is it me or is your valance broken, kinda?

yea, I couldn't turn it down for that price, not going to M20 it though, if/when I give up on the M10, which is likely to happen, I want something like a 7mge or 1jz... I figure I might as well put something more reliable and likely cheaper to get parts for in the m10's place to make it worth while if I do an engine swap. we'll see, going to probably try and get the M10 running and just use it like that for a while, I have 2 spare m10's as well, just don't know what condition they are in. I plan to lower the car... allot. I'm going to make every other E21 that I've seen look lifted... going to shoot for 1 inch of ground clearance at the lowest point, still low enough that most people wouldn't be able to drive it that way, but not completely stupid in my opinion.

I don't know what happened to the valance, the bumper is bent as well, so are the fenders. good thing I have spares off the other E21. it has a totaled/reconstructed title, pretty much the only crappy thing about it. the other one I have is not even half as nice as this one and has a clean title, yet that's the one I'm getting rid of... don't feel like swapping core supports seeing as how the other car has a smashed one.

so I need to find out where to get the fuel lines that go from the fuel distributor deal to the inectors... haven't looked at that real close yet, but I know I need new ones, and my friend who works at shuck's wasn't finding them on the computer at his work. I might have to find a way to make my own.

yea, like I said, I couldn't turn it down, especially since I have so many parts on the other one.

Hopefully I'll get it running and on the road real soon, then really low.

indeed. it's going to be very difficult to accomplish 1 inch of ground clearance, I took the coils out of the E21 that I'm getting rid of, and here is how it sits: (of course there is a pic from before I pulled the coils as well)

I don't think the steering is too happy at that angle either. So no matter what, I need to raise my strut mounts some how, which is very do-able. I'm concerned that my steering won't work out without modification, any thoughts on this? I want the blue car to be at least this low, but preferably a little lower. I'm likely going to have to run smaller tires to accomplish what I want, but you can only go so far with that until it just doesn't look right.

in case you were wondering, I pulled the coils and fenders on this car to have as spares, not just because I really wanted to lower it. I did it without coil compressors too!!!

I was just looking over the pics again, and I just realized that my control arms and/or mounts must be modified on the blue car, as you can see in the clearance pics, they are hitting.... BMW really made it difficult to get these things low

Pretty much have everything I think is worth keeping off hoppy, poor guy.

Soon I'll get to work on the new one, I want it at the height hoppy is, or maybe a tadd lower.

so? your using parts off this one, to make the other one with no hood work???
and this car is low because it has no springs?
                          im confused.

the car with no hood is the one I parted out, I now have a bunch of extra parts for the blue one that I just bought, the black one is low because it has no coils. I figured it would be nice to have a spare set in case I mess up the ones on the blue car when I cut them. I want the blue car to be about as low as the black one, that's going to require some creativity, because I don't think I'm going to drive it around with no coils.

Why not? Weld the struts together; done deal. Mad stiff yo.
