    New E30 on the Board

First, a big thanks to everyone on this board. I've been checking this site out for a few months now, and it was a big help in finding my E30. Seems only fair to try to give a little back. I'm still learning as much as I can, so the best I can do for now are some pics of my ride. It's a 1987 4-door 325i in Royal Blue Metallic with 135k miles. Wasn't much to look at when I got her, with a busted fender and a clutch about to explode, but I saw she had potential.

What she looked like when I bought her....

Two months, a clutch replacement, timing belt, tune-up, multiple junkyard trips (where have these been all my life), and fresh wax job later...

Thanks for looking! I'm excited to finally call myself an E30 owner, and would love to hear what you all think. Plenty left I'd love to do, but I'm a pretty happy man right now with my new toy.

Looks really nice - spend $5 at the dealer for 4 new Roundel decals for your wheel center caps and it will do wonders for how the car looks. Very jealous - would love to have a 4 door in Royal Blue to match my Royal Blue 'vert!

Thanks, guys! I wasn't huge on the bottlecaps or the pacific interior at first, but it's kinda growing on me. Was gonna go all-black, but I might just get some blue sport seats now. Already bought black leather rear seats with headrests too. sigh. For the wheels, I used some Megs Hot Rims cleaner, but it's pretty caked still. Thanks for the Armorall tip...and the one on the roundel decals, great idea!

Love that 'vert by the way! I'll take one of those to match my car too.

Hey Freeride, took the shots at Serpentine Prairie on Skyline Blvd. It's part of Redwood Park, and has a bunch of off-leash trails and open areas for dogs...our boy loves it up there.
