Road Trip: Oregon Coast, Yellowstone and Grand Tetons

A friend of mine flew up to Portland to drive to Oklahoma with me. Before we left we drove to the coast for a day, then the next day left for Oklahoma. Over 4 days we took I-84E to I-15N to yellowstone and the tetons (stayed in Jackson Hole), then I-80E to I-25S to I-70E to I-35S to okla hwy 412.

    I averaged about 25MPG at about 75MPH with the S52, ZF320, and 3.25 LSD. Respectable I think.

Here are some photos of my car from the trip.

    Nikon D60, Sigma 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3

I think ///Melanie is a good name for my car, what do you think?

twas not my idea to do the map thing. she did it twice (this being the second time) and it rained heavily 5 minutes later.

    a couple non-car shots:

    Thanks for looking :)

well i am from oklahoma so i am sort of going home for the summer. I am doing a paid internship with the city of tulsa for school credit. As for melanie being a terrible name, i think it is much better than any guy name. what kind of guy names their car a male's name?

thanks, i was pleasantly surprised at how it came out. the variety of features of yellowstone is really amazing. that particular shot looks like it came from the time of dinosaurs or something- very surreal.

well it's just that it's a powerful car and if i imagine a chick with cannons for arms and pecs for breasts it'd be a bit odd:) Where you going to school at up here, i figured you were from portland, didn't get a chance to speak with you much at the picnic, thanks for signing my hood:)

haha yeah she is nice to look at. i will be in tulsa all summer but dont know my schedule quite yet.

it was a fun trip, but driving 10 hours a day, even in a car you love gets tiring. i'd love to do a trip where its only 3-4 hours a day with lots of touristy stuff in between.

                            Nice trip!

Hit me up for brewski's and JRP Karts. I think we are going to have another Kart race next week or the week after, it's a ton of fun. The little karts get up to 45 on the back straight!

When are you going back? Someone who has already done the S52 swap around would be nice....... :)
