I got them off ebay. They are the same seats that you get from Summit Racing. They aren't the best thing on the market, but they are worth every penny for less than 300 shipped for the pair. Then I fabbed up some mounts from some square metal stock.Comment

Yep. I cut the rust out that was too bad to support weight, painted everything with POR-15, its a rust encapsolator (sp?), then used fiberglass to patch the holes. I have a MIG welder and do some light fab work here and there but I didn't want to go welding on the car with all the factory insulation on the other side of the firewall and burn the car to the ground. When I take the engine out I am going to paint the other side of the firewall with the same stuff and it will be just fine.
Its not like I'm restoring restoring a 57 Chevy or anything, so I wasn't too worried about it since after I fix it no one will ever see it again.Comment

Very nice so far. How did you get the lines so crisp where you changed colors on the door panel? Just careful masking?Matt

Yep, actually I got most of the stains out of the carpet with a gallon of Grease Lightning and a small pressure washer I borrowed. All that remained was the rust stains which I couldn't even get out with 3 different brands of rust stain remover. So then I made the final decision to get the carpet dye stuff.
It took about 30 minutes of masking for each door panel. If you look closely the paint seeped under the masking take in the grain pattern in the vinyl. But you have to REALLY be looking for it. It would have been better if I used some of masking take with a stronger adhesive, but I was scared that it would pull/mess up was I was masking over. But of course I'm a perfectionist when it comes down to things like this and the average person will never notice.Comment
