Black centers.....how many times have I said to myself, 'Damn!! Those old 15" Alpinas look sweet with the black center.', but it never occured to me to paint the weaves like that....hat's off to ya. This is a (near)future project...i'm gonna photoshop it on my car tonight, and I have a brand new set of wheel roundels around here somewhere.

Today was like Christmas! Except instead of a sleigh there was a FedEx and USPS truck...

Goodies include black door cards with pulls and map pockets, an M-Tech Shift Knob, Leather Shift and E-Brake Boots, and Euro Analog Clock.

The wheels are still sitting in the garage, and will be for a few more days, since I'm going to give as much time as needed for the paint to fully cure. For those who want to know, the silver was Duplicolor Silver Wheel Coating and the Centers were Duplicolor Semi-Gloss Black High-Temp/Engine Ceramic.

              She is coming along...

They didn't turn out too bad...

I'm going to try and mount them up today. I'm still waiting on my springs and shocks so I hope it doesn't look too goofy on the stock suspension.

She got a bath and the wheels mounted this morning...

She definatly needs the drop, but she doesn't look too bad at this point. I think with the slight drop of the H&R Sports she'll look like a winner.

No progess in the last few days. I'm mostly just waiting on parts to filter in through the mail. That, and it has been hard to justify tinkering when it has been pretty sketchy weather-wise for the last few days.

I did call my local pull-a-part and they said thy have "three or four mid-eighties bimmers" so I may try and wander through there tomorrow evening if it isn't raining too much.

I went for a semi-spirited drive yesterday and the car gave a good showing. She still has a slight hesitation under a load above 2k, so I might look for an 027 ECU to swap in.

Another new issue reared its head as well, my windshield wipers started to play games during the drive. They function fine in all modes except intermitent. In that mode they like to stop and hang out at random times in the middle of their travel. So the top of my scrounging list is going to be a wiper-control relay. If that doesn't fix it I'll have to delve deeper, but thats the fun about an e30 right?

I'm anxiously counting down the days for Kevin Chinn's upholstery kit to come in. Only four weeks (give or take) to go...

Just got back from my first road-trip with the little Henna Coupe. My wife and I took the car from the wet side of Washington to Lake Chelan, over on the dry side, via Highway 2 and Steven's Pass. About 250mi each way. She (the car or my wife) didn't make one complaint during either of the drives. My wife was asleep most of the time. These are a few pictures that I snapped along the way...
