my dope sedan (rare 80's content)

    my 505.
first car, was in the family since new.
I loved since i was little, but really got into it a few years ago.
It's been my project w. my dad, worked on it a lot in the past couple years.
Just that now, its reaching a point where all hell is breaking loose.
I mean, I know, a car with this age is bound to have problems, most of which I can work on myself, but its just getting to point where it's really stupid to d.d it. I've been taking it to school, and rowing practice, been holding up okay, but its left me stranded a few times.
So what do you guys think?
Its kinda of a love-hate thing. I always loved the design of it, (yeah, let the flaming begin), of the front end, not so much the rear.

My dream was to do a FULL resto, and swap in a turbo+ic N9TE engine from a later model, but it just seems insane, with how much labor it requires, and parts which are scarce as ****.
Maybe when I'm outta college (i'm still a junior in hs), me and my dad will fix it up. But right now, i'm mostly sharing a 'eurospec' Volvo 245 (lightly modded) with my dad, who totalled his bimmer a while ago...yes, yes, i'm pretty into volvo's, i'm on turbobricks and volvospeed (big poster)

Me and my friends have thrashed this car pretty hard, places like grizzly peak, etc, etc...But i try to maintain it as well as possible.

But for now, here are some pics...enjoy (or not).

Ha. We've got a few Peugeots in our family (504, S1 505 STi, S2 505 GTi, S2 405 SRi, S1 405 Mi16 and spare panels/engines/etc for all of them). These things aren't rare in Australia as Peugeot has quite a following out here (by weird people).

The 505s ride really nicely but they're a complete waffleswaffleswaffleswaffles to work on. Needed bigger engines too. We never got the V6 or the turbo 4-banger out here so they sucked for grunt.

I was taken out in my parent's GTi in December '07 driving to my girlfriend's birthday. Combined impact speed was north of 130km/h and both the girl driving the other car and I got out fine. Very safe cars!

(note: the pass. wheel is IN the footwell for the pass. floorpan. didn't breach it, though!)

i don't think you should let it go if your family has had it so long.

            thanks,
            yeah, we're gonna keep it.
            i'm just gonna get a 318is or a 325is for my d.d.....or if I find a nice volvo 242 turbo, maybe even a e36 325is...but thats the farthest I'm willing to go.

i figured I would NEVER see anyone on here with a peugot. We still have our 84' 505 STi turbo diesel, fun fun car, dad likes to gather parts with our 83' 504 diesel station wagon..............may be down on power but they handle VERY well imho............
