(Big) Weekend pics - 2 E30s and a 996
The 996 aesthetic is...well, controversial. People seem to either love it or hate it, but it's not mine, and if that's Holmes' vision of what a 911 should look like, so be it. He definitely made the car unique unto himself.
My good friend Joey's M3 is gorgeous. I love his BBS wheels and would love to find a suitable set for my E30, but so far it's been all I can financially handle to get the car running in top condition. And it does run - The 996 has just about every available NA mod for the car, has a dyno showing over 300 whp, and when we ran the two cars I did very, very well against it.
We spent some time polishing up the BBS outers with the usual round of Wenol and billet polish, and I had recently taken a Flex polisher to my E30 in an attempt to hammer out a few problems that my PC couldn't handle. My car came out great, but still not quite the way I wanted even if the slickness and reflectivity of the finish is currently the best it's been under my ownership.
Video - Pretty worthless highway driving, and since I'm not driving my car, it isn't being properly thrashed. :D
