It's supposed to do that  True to VW platform.
Yeah I know. The fact that I'm running a 28mm rear bar with no front bar kind of exaggerates it too.

Man, those VWs scare the hell out of me. I watched a 1st gen GTI flip over at an Auto-X here in Detroit. I was talking to some girl about how much body roll they have, right before the guy started his run. She said "Oh yeah, they're always on 3 wheels" I asked "Don't the flip over a lot?" She told me no, and then 3/4 of the way through his run, the guy flips the damn thing. It held up pretty well, though. The guy only got a nasty scrape on his arm, but the engine was leaking oil all over.

No need to be alarmed by a little 3 wheelin'. Just about any front driver 3 wheels at the limit. Some more than others and some less than others depending on suspension design, setup, etc. VW's happen to 3 wheel a lot due to a rear axle design that lacks droop travel and the common practice of running more rear roll stiffness to work around the inherent front drive understeer. It's by no means unsafe and quite honestly it's a lot of fun :D . That dude flipping is a very rare occurence especially considering the large number of watercooled VW's tearing around cones every weekend.

Man, it's just really freaky to watch. Either way, I still love VWs. My friend has a 3rd gen Jetta GL, and it's really fun to drive. They're cool cars.
