Wait on that 318i and keep looking. If he has the price too high he will not sell it. Make him what you think is a fair offer and leave him your number and if tell him if he is willing to sell it at that price to give you a call. I wouldn't pick the car apart excessively because you will only piss him off and make him dig in on his price. I have two 1990's that I paid sixteen hundred dollars for total and they both run. My black on black iS needs work but it is six cylinder and the entire drivetrain is in great condition and I only paid six hundred dollars the car. It is all of the cosmetics of the car that need work. Good luck with your search.
