    Polishing [& Patching] the turd.

Spent the weekend ripping my car's insides out to give it a nice washing, because well, it looked like crap and I knew there was plenty of rust to be delt with... This is how it went.

First goal was to get the carpet powerwashed for an obvious reason...
    BEFORE

    AFTER

Swapped my leather seats back in, hopefully idiots wills top grabbing the wrong handle and breaking the mechanisms in them.

But it wasn't the carpet that took most of the weekend, I decided to attack my cancer from the inside now that the carpet was off and took out the previous patch in the wheelwell for a bit more permanent one. YES I KNOW I SHOULD PATCH SOME METAL IN THERE but that is another day when I have the means to do it or the money to get someone else to do it, fiberglass on the inside to rebuild it and some bondo on the outside to finish it off, all covered in anti-corrosive ruberized under spray. Its the best I can do for now and it's pretty solid for what a shitty job I did.
    eEEWwww

Halfway patched, hands got too covered to take a real finished

Coated, looks like crap but its solid. I'm sure I'll get some hack job comments but it wasn't an easy place to get at and its pretty heavily messed in that corner

atleast theres now a good reason to hate my car

Also hooked up my city lights with some ambers to cheer myself up after seeing the terror that is my wheelwell

That carpet looks pretty damn good. Was there any specific method you had to cleaning it or just power washing and scrubbing?

Suave for men shampoo and a powerwasher, not perfect, but significantly better. And it smells like my hair.

That rust blows. It reminds me of my early days in air-cooled vws:).

Also I ripped out my glove compartment with no intentions of replacing it. Since I have owned the car it has been jammed shut, ina drunken rage friday night I ripped it out. They're pretty unecessary when you think about it, no my passanger has more leg room and I have more room to put things when I'm traveling. Going to look into creating a plastic shield to hide all the inner dashness.

The more I look at that first picture the more I keep imagining the guy with his hot coco or coffee dropping it halfway on his lap and inbetween the seat and being like AAHHA SHiET Ah, looks like a Big Gulp of a coffee though.

Remember E30 owners, just say no to drive through coffee containers.
