I already have shadowline on the 'vert, but that car has been completely de-chromed and chrome looks like crap on white cars anyway.

Yes, the kidneys are still chrome Stevo, and I have admired your car for a long time.

Plasti-dip is a good idea, I was just going to use SEM Trim Paint but I may go pick up a bottle of that stuff, we'll see. The tint is 22% f/r.

Well, I painted all the black trim black with SEM, but left the chrome bits. Thankfully the rain gutters and lower window trim is all very easy to remove, nothing needed but a flathead screwdriver and a towel. We'll see, I may change it yet.

I second the plastidip trial. That's actually what I'm doing right now. So far I think I'll keep it.

I think it looks great the way it is. I tend to like contrast and accents on cars over the monochromatic or straight two-tone look.

Then again, after seeing Steve's car, chrome does tend to age these cars. The shadowline definitely looks more modern.

But they are 20+ years old. Embrace the 'aged' look!

The thing that I love about E30's and E34's is they don't have to look aged, it's up to the individual owner what look he or she is going for. People still think my E34's are from the late 90's early 00's. Steve's E30 looks like it could be mid-late 90's.

I say shadowline it on a red car. Doh my e30 is white, i'll go outside and shadowline it right now.

I would leave it chrome, I like the chrome look...I have a zinno e30 without shadowline too, so I may be biased. ;)

On a side note, have you ever had your e30 down in Eugene? I saw a similar looking e30 around the UO campus a couple times over the spring.

                              you could shawdowline it..

but personally, i'd just leave it..

Yeah, I've got a red e30 and I've been wondering the same thing too, to shadowline or not. But I'm pretty sure I like the look of the chrome and will keep it on.
