    finally found an e30

After joining r3v over a year ago, and searching just about everywhere.

I finally found one that was almost exactly what I wanted. I found it on craigslist about 6 weeks ago, the only downside was that the car was located in Denver, CO.

After some negotiating I decided to drive to Denver and buy the car. We left last Friday the 10th, arrived in Denver on the 11th, and made it back home on the 12th. And now onto the pics/info.

-1989 bmw 325i, 2 door, 5 speed, 214000 miles runs like a champ, only mods are H&R sport springs and bilstien shocks.
-It has a few minor flaws, but nothing i'm too worried about. I already have a running list of parts/mods for it.
-also don't worry about the dirty interior, that has all been taken care of already.

I got him down to 4k. I know thats more than most people would pay for an 89 but I didnt mind paying that price. also the car has zero rust which was a huge thing for me, I can deal with the ripped interior/ lots of miles etc. but I didnt want to deal with rust at all. the paint is actually in great condition for its age.

hm. 4k does seem like a lot, but this really is a good car to start with. Good luck wit it.

I actually did that last night. I pulled the front and rear seats, vacuumed and cleaned the carpet, and disconnected/ cleaned up that wiring. Those wires were for subs that he had previously installed in the car and for a "hard drive" type thing. I believe it says music keg or something like that on it, it was pretty sweet but I hated those wires just laying there like that. If I reinstall it I will run the wires under the carpet so they are out of sight.

Yeah I would of liked to spend less but like I said I was fine with paying that price for what I got, although I wouldnt have went any higher.

This car came with the Kenwood Music Keg? That was the first serious hard drive system for the car. If you wanna get it working, LMK, I have installed a few, and set up PCs to load the hard drive.

You gotta have the desktop cradle, so if he didn't give that up, contact him to see if he will send it to you.

4k is a little much. I bought my car for 1750, and it has no rust and runs flawlessly (just drove it 1000 miles from Boston to Chicago).

Congrats on the find. I too searched for a long time and finally found one at home (Bay Area) while in Germany (still in Germany and haven't even seen my car in person yet!). Turns out the ad on Craigslist was from someone I do rallies with. Small world.

                            Have fun!
