    I had a buddy that had a slammed E30 318.
He cut half his bottom pan off and cut the pickup for the pump and welded everything back together.
He ran it like this for about a year before he sold it.

I was thinking the same thing. He could always cut the pan and weld it again so it's smaller.

That car is beautiful. Where can I see more pics of the interior?

Heres a pic of my buddys 318. He went with an "I" lip after this setup and was about 1 inch from the ground.

This was a few months ago for the "previous" photoshoot. Where Captain MSPaint lowered my car.

I have a brand new pan and pickup. Just gotta find the time. The wife and I bought a new project last weekend, so I might not get around to it for a while. Do you have photos of the modified pan and pickup?

Nope, I can ask him though..

He just cut 1.5 inches out of the pan and had a piece of aluminum welded back on.
Then cut the same out of the pickup..

Did he square off the pan to try and add a little bit of the capacity back. How'd the dipstick work out?

I think he just welded the whole pan around the edges and left it as is. Im pretty sure he cut the dipstick tube also. He hasnt had the car for over a year now....
