pics of the e30, and my wheel rebuilding.

So, i picked up this e30 a few months ago, and as it always does, obsession started.

this was when i first got it, after re-spraying the rockers & plastic stuff. since ive put on a euro plate recess, and have been just trying to clean her up.

suspension will come, before i finish the wheels hopefully. since they cant go on like this.

but here are some pics of the wheel progress. sorry for the iphone pics, but, its all i had at the moment.

the wheel apart and after sanblasting the centers.

    waiting for powder.

    powdering.

    in the oven cooling.

temp put together just to see contrast. the lips arent polished 100% yet. but, i get the idea. and i like it.

    fuck yeah.

What are the specs on the wheels? What size tires were you looking into getting?

the wheels are 15x8, i have a set of 205 50 15's, but i may look into getting 195 45's if money permits.

they are ARE 398's that my buddy has had in his garage for years in really bad shape.

Love the wheels. You, and others like you, are gonna end up making me spend way too much money...

These are 16x8s to let you know. So it'll be hard to get that look with the ARE's being 15s. You'll have more sidewall/meat looking on the rims. But great progress nonetheless.

yeah i know they are 16's....i was gonna make them a bit smaller, but am lazy.

overall tho, it will be mostly the same :)

Those wheels are badass. Can't wait to see them on the car.
