i said he was an awesome photographer. i am not dissing him. but when certain photos of his hurt my eyes b/c of their contrast, it isn't because they are straight out of the camera.

i actually took this photo like 100 years ago, and it looked like this: to make it look like the photo in the first post, i used technicolor, you know, the thing they used for old cartoons.

I try not to read too often, bad for the environment. I look at pictures and try to put a story together in my head, most of them end with sexual references and/or Blunt tech.

Okey... I read the post. I have taken bad pictures in my time also, I just didn't post a thread regarding them and edit them to hell. Carry on.

there are plenty of "good" photos I have taken and not shared, I just enjoyed the setting of this particular one and wanted to share it with the warm, caring, open-minded r3v community, regardless of the editing. ;)

I think the purpose of the picture and its editing was to be a joke. Obviously this joke flew over your head.

How come you didn't more pictures until one actually came out? Did you choose this out of focus picture to edit the hell out of just so you could label it "Spasticized"?

If you look at the original photo that i posted, it isn't THAT out of focus, only a smidge. on the 2.5inch LCD of my camera, it looked exactly how i wanted it to- in focus. even if you zoom into the photo in the camera, it still looks fine. only when you look at it on a real monitor do you realize it is soft. in fact, i did take a second photo, and it came out exactly the same, so i deleted it (after viewing on the computer).

unfortunately i can't exactly drive back up there and take another photo, otherwise i probably would. i'm driving back to portland soon, and will probably stop at a few of these run down gas station places for more photos. most likely will be shooting with my other lens, though.

                        Good deal.

You should post the un-edited shot then.
