    Alpina Pics

Hello, thought I would post a coupe of pictures of my 84 B6 2.8 out of a group of pictures I took a while back. I do realize that in my pictures my front Alpina spoiler isn't attached by all the bolts this is because I usually just run a BMW lip on the front because the 3.5 inches of clearance the Aplina spoiler gives isnt really enough for average driving, figure I would mention this as I'm sure someone would point it out.

Nice car, but what happened to the rear trunk spoiler? And why aren't all the gauge needles orange? All the ones I have seen are all orange.

Where are you located by the way?

Court M3, Thanks yes maddog is correct all the other needles are orange the speedo was changed to white a part of federalization. As far as the Alpina rear spolier its there this pic should show that and that Im from California.

Federalized euro e30's are ugly as sin.

when a vehicle is imported what do they usually do to the vehicle during fedralization?

One thing that i do not like about that car though is those side markers on the fenders, stick out like a sore thumb and are ugly as sin.

edit: Doubt much changed between US and canadian BMW's but my parents purchased an E36 that was imported from Canada and all they swapped out from what i can tell is the instrument cluster (speedo, tach, etc..)

Yeah it is a shame they didnt at least put them in the bumpers. Someone was being a jerk to put them in the sheet metal.

Nice though, hopefully you can fix what our govt did to that car soon.
                Im now E30less.

Grey market import huh? Nice car why no engine pics? Shave the 2002/E21 side makers and just say no.

The clock, dump it put a proper analog unit in as opposed to the two button digital. It might be correct but is out of place. I would also try to find a Older Becker head unit of some style German radio. As the face panel just kill the retro look f the car.

Very nice car thou. How long have you owned it. As there was a guy in California saying he was selling one, but would only take 11k for it or he would part it out. Which was stupid.

Love the car, hate the sidemarkers, but thats not all I focus on unlike some others. Your car is sick.

Yeah, I hate the federalized side markers. My Euro 325ic had them on it. I had them removed and filled in when I had the front end redone. Looks 1000X better. I just now have the backs to do.

The people who federalized mine didn't use BMW parts for the sidemarker. They used RV side markers. My car also had overlays put on the gauge cluster and the Euro Ellips were swapped for US Ellips.

Eitherway, with or without the sidemarkers, you have a unique car worth keeping. I haven't seen too many REAL Alpina's.

Yeah its a grey market car I have some under hood pics i have yet to upload. I agree with everyone about the sidemmarkers however seeing as the car has original paint I really dont want to have to repaint the fenders to replace the markers at this point in time.I also have a more period radio I took out of the car(although I might look into buying a becker or such know a good place to find one?) but I replaced it for now because I like to listen to CD's not tapes I have had the car for almost 3 years, I know the guy you are talking about with the $11k Alpina it was just a bad sales tactic to threaten parting it out, that car has changed hands again after he sold it hopefully to someone who care for it.

How about that 2002 hiding in the front??
Yeah the 2002 is my daily driver :)
