    un-official progress thread: bumper swap

I drove up to vacaville today and me and danny threw on the front plastic bumper today. too much work for the other one for now.

took some time but with some persuasion we got the newly painted valence (which i thought i did an alright job on but it actually isnt amazing and also still needs to be polished) and the bumper (which hasnt been painted yet) on. turned out really good IMO. I love it.

we also took the time to put the IS lip I had laying around on the car and everything just makes it looke 10X better. thanks so much danny for helping me with the car. couldnt have done it with out you bud!

    now on to the pics

just bumper and valence on, not finished yet.

iS lip, not painted yet but still looks clean.

threw on the 740 volvo lip I got a couple weeks ago at a P&P, once I got home. cut it quick and placed it on. need to do it right but had to get back to school so it is zip tied on haha

oh and got some vynal for the roundel from a bud earlier that day.

    what do you guys think?

looks like a whole nother car.

the lip will be painted in due time. just need to take it back off but i already have the paint but i need sand paper, I will also wet sand and clean up the tails as well to make them Purty!

Look's good TJ. Get that rear done. Not a big fan of completely "smoked" tails. just a nice little tint like mhw's have looks great. but, shoot them with some clear, sand and polish up. And get some fogs in there!

Thanks man. Yeah I got the lights off a crappy car at the shop and just threw them on there I want them to be less smoked as well. I might get another pair and red them and then do a very nice light tint but yeah for now I will just do what you said haha it will good and shiny when I'm all done. Haha

Looks better now. Ellipsoids and oil cooler grill would be good though.

Thanks man yeah it's hard to tll in the pics but a drivers side high beam was hit hard by a rock and needs a new one and so me and my pops are looking for elips right now. Oil coller grill is in the garage some where just need to find it and the fog lights as well as the air flows or whatever the heck they are called will be in soon as well I have fogs but not the others and I want to get some lamenex cuz Danny said he destroyed a bird driving and the fog light wasn't even hurt with that stuff on there.

What wheels are those? They look like Konig Rewinds but not. Are those the wheels the Konig Rewind is a "knock off" of?

No longer stock ride height, rolling as low as a daily driver in New England should without worrying about breaking an oil pan.

Mine's an 88 so no cutting and the apron was already there. Was still a pain in the ass swapping the shocks though.
