stacked lips - im not really 100% on them either, but im showing the car this weekend, and felt like a change. keep the yocals guessing. id love to find some sports/iS skirts to go with em, but whatta ya do.
Breyton - off cos i want a change, and because i can. i might just go put that Alpina front on right now ;)
wheels/tyres - original ET25 + 1inch lip(~25mm) = ~ ET00. i dunno, dont care really. tyres are a 'wide' 215/40-17. no they arent really stretched, they sit pretty flat. scrubbing yes. i spent an hour or so on it with a mates guard roller, got the lip pretty flat, so minimal scrapage now. prob would scrub with ppl in it, but i got no backseats, so whatevs.
roundel delete - its just a statement. i get sick to death of the whole BMW politics, and all these fags that just roll macked out e36s wit chrome and altezzas cos they think BMs are cool. so its really a statement of me saying i like em for what they are, not for the badge or anything else that goes with it. its about the style, its about the drive. if i can get some cash together, il probly do the hood done too. i like it cos it bugs ppl to, but thats just my nature.
pinstripe - just your everyday garden variety. thin silver, slightly thicker charcoal. they actually hide a few nicks, so they will stay at least until the car gets resprayed (if ever)
other than that, i still have plans for the motor, i just need to decide what to do. i just know that i want some balls to back the look up.

back end without the roundel looks like a Camira now :) Pimped out black Camira with phat dish - now that's a statement...
btw, 17x7 ET25 widened i" on the outside gives ET12.5 cos the centreline has moved outboard by only half an inch but the mating surface on the hub remains in the same spot. do a scale diagram if you can't get your head around it :)
i dont want to dance with a suspension engineer, lol, but why hasnt the centreline moved an inch? it was only the front rim section that was added. therefore backspacing stays the same, centerline moves 1", offset lowers?! :?
i dont want to dance with a suspension engineer, lol
and I'd rather not dance with an anaemic bloodnut pimp so i'll keep this brief :)
The inside surface of the rim doesn't move cos you only widened the outer rim section. On a 7" rim the centreline is 3.5" from the inside surface (assuming a 7" wide rim is actually 7" wide which it isn't but it don't matter.) On a 8" rim the centreline is 4" away from the inside surface of them rim. Because the inside surface hasn't moved, the centreline has only moved 0.5" outboard hence why the offset has only changed by 0.5".
But yeah, do a scale diagram. Heaps easier to picture. Why bother with maths when you can explain everything with pictures?
yeah, should be doing work but there's too much of it and i dunno where to begin so i procrastinate instead.
still got the Alpina, it's sitting in my boot as a spare actually cos it still holds air. Which makes me think it's repairable but i dunno i really want to get some new wheels.
what a bunch of band wagon beeatchis here! you all hated on shaved emblems here a few months ago! car looks perfect, except the front stacked lip, but its yours and you have a few anyway! now just put the steering wheel on the correct side!
