It is better when you put all the goodies from a JDM 2006 STi RA into an early 1st-Gen Legacy :) It was huge fun chopping Porsche Turbos and new STis in this thing
Good R180 diff vs archaic R160 diff
Better hubs
Better driveshafts
Brembos vs cast iron calipers
Better bracing
Better dampers
Better springs
Better seats
Better tune
Better intercooler
Better fuel injectors
Better rear cradle (lateral arm mounting points revised to improve roll centres)
Shorter steering rack
Alloy control arms
Yeah, a real waste of money.Pork Hunt Motorsport

Just my thoughts, and a lot of general thoughts from STi community.
Bulletproof 6speed gearbox vs crap 5-speed - YES
Good R180 diff vs archaic R160 diff - Yes
Better hubs - Yes
Better driveshafts - Yes
Brembos vs cast iron calipers - I <3 my old brakes
Better bracing - Yes
Better dampers - Yes
Better springs - Yes
Better seats - Argueable. Aftermarket or stock WRX were most choices.
Better tune - 04-06 were good. 07+ started getting buggy.
Better intercooler - Yes
Better fuel injectors - Yes
Better rear cradle (lateral arm mounting points revised to improve roll centres) - Yes
Shorter steering rack - Yes
Alloy control arms - Yes
Yeah, a real waste of money.

Here's what my E30 looks like now... Going to send it back to Florida to get some body work done and it'll be in tip top shape for me when I go back...

Why would you pay 35 grand for a scooby? I would much rather by a new 3 or 1 series or maybe a new truck. And yes I stand by and still stay its a waste of money sence my car walks all over the scooby that comes to pir. Last I checked I have spent under 10k on my whole car and he has spent over 45k. 8-)
I think the 08 and newer ones are sexy!

Even in stock form I wouldn't call any STi slow. they are great cars if you know how to drive them. A properly modded one will be faster then our s52 cars, and it will destroy an e30 in handling.
I do hate the available powerband however, but then again I'm a huge fan of N/A power. ;)
Nice pick up Erik. I'm not a fan of any scooby made after '05 aesthetically, except for the last generation STi. Have fun with it. :D
