    an update :)

OK...it's been a while since I've been hardcore-active on here. As some of you know my very early eta coupe was totaled in an accident back in June. She's in a dumpster new, sans the suspension, driveshaft, interior, and a few electronic components... (contact me if you're looking for parts in those categories)

My new venture is a pretty well-optioned 1989 325is purchased from the owner of Sportscar Restoration in Plainville CT. Very clean car, and actually was brought into the US in 1991 (with paperwork indicating so!).

The brakes just failed (rear calipers stuck), so on the docket in the next two weeks is:
    -remanufactured rear calipers
-S/S brake lines all over (bought them used)
-brembo cross-drilled rotors on all 4 corners
-treehouse racing CAB's (and alignment to M3 spec)
    -bilstein sports
    -H&R springs
-possible replacement of driveshaft and center support bearing (depends on how bad things look underneath)

    So I'll keep y'all posted :)

BTW if anyone is looking for the front strut assemblies from my 89, let me know. The strut/spring assemblies from my 84 are going on the 89 since they already have the H&R/bilsteins installed, so if you want my 89's with stock iS springs and factory struts (they still perform decently well) let me know.

I was over at SCR talking to Matt M. a few weeks ago, and I think I saw the car. Looked good!

        Yeah, Matt's the man :)

Fear thee not, I shall not faileth:

And...sadly, this is how my beloved 84 325e ended up...

The damage to the passenger framerail/strut housing was too severe so my insurance totaled the car :(

your car is stunning. if i had to have coupe it would be exactly like yours. I think that color is the ultimate color on an E30. perfect car, keep it that way.

@ Bimmerista: Yes I do still have those black weaves...noooo way was I gonna let those things go! I'm thinking once Brutus is lowered with the H&R's he'd look very BAMF-esque with the black weaves and a moderate tint on the windows.... anyone have thoughts on that?

@ nado: thanks! my heart is still more into the Henna red color on my old car, but I think that color lent itself better to an earlier car with the diving boards. I definitely agree that the Lachssilber complements the later model bumpers, especially with the complete lower front spoiler assembly and blacked out trim around the windows.

I've admired this car when up at SCR quite a few times. What a beautiful car.

Thanks! The guys at SCR are great - they have been a huge help with me getting my Henna car dismantled.
