    Actually they went out of their way to reduce unsprung weight, which is nice. While it's clearly a solid axle/watts link, the diff (and brakes) are mounted to the chassis instead of the axle, and they just use half shafts to drive the wheels. Why not just make it a full independent setup?

      The difference vs traditional ways must be significant for them to go through all that trouble. Either that or they just wanted to be different...

      less unsprung weight = better handling? less power loss thru drivetrain?

        Less unsprung weight is great for handling. It makes the shocks do less work. If you had to control a shaking weight, would it be easier if it was heavier or lighter, at the same frequency?

          What car was the fastest? That e36 M3 looks tight comapred to the Stang ahead of it while cornering...just looks the wheels on the stang and looks the geomaetry in the bimmer....:up:

            There were alot of fast car. A z06, Supped up Truck. Camaro etc etc. They did have race at the end and a E36 M3 won it. Damn he was fast.
