There has been countless e30's that have sold on r3v for more then 5k.

i dont pay attention to online car classifieds. why would i drive across the country to buy an e30 when theres thousands right here? like i said, maybe things are different out in where ever. im referring to where i live. it would have to be one hell of an e30 to sell for more than 5k. i guess with euro s50 or mint low-mileage US motor swap...i dunno. i was just stating what i feel this guys cars worth.

i got $2300 for a little bit of damage on my salvaged 318is, and it didnt total, so they must think theyre worth more than most people. i turned around and sold the car for $3500 with 200k on it.

Me too, Things are only worth what people will pay for them. If this man can find a buyer for 3k then good for him, he found a sucker to buy his car. Anyway, I am still waiting for the CL offers that were sent to the seller.

Dont know, I am in cali and there are e30s to be had everywhere. Maybe in 15 years, these cars will be rare enough to warrant high prices.

The comp has a chip in it from Dinon, It still will only rev to, 6800 rpm , I used to work at a dealer and I think that the 89 car has the adaptive system in it. Where as , if you bang the rev. limiter enough it will boost up the revs. The car is nuts now , would love to put the engine in an adaptive car , where it can achieve its potential at 10 ,00 rpm where it was balanced too I would offer 3000.00 or possible trade -Mike

3. Still have the e30? I am in the market for a 318is, since I am a college student and I prefer the better gas mileage, but I REALLY like your car. Does that "$15" in your thread title stand for $1500? If it does, consider it sold. I have $1500 in hand.

I have a few more, but none of them have offers. They are either asking me how much, asking me to trade but dont specify what theyll trade me, and a couple for me to call them so they can ask me some questions.

All in all, thank you guys for the discussion and your thoughts. In the Bay Area stock ETAs normally go for around 1-2k depending on condition and stock late models go for around 2-3k depending on condition.

If I were to sell at my car's current state, I would probably set a CL price of 4k but only to expect to recieve around 3k. I am currently working on the interior so all that should be recovered/redone shortly.

And the interior is perfect IE, no wires hanging out, seats in perfect condition, a horn, an airbag kick panel.... a CLEAN engine bay. Clean your car up, then ask the same question... I bet you get a better response.

It's pretty obvious he's going to think it's worth what he thinks it's worth no matter what anyone on here says. Besides, what it's 'worth' to him and what he can get for it are 2 completely different things.

If no one wants it, then he won't get much for it. If someone wants it enough they'll pay whatever he's asking.

I have a horn and kick panel, just in the pics they arent currently in the car. Seats will be taken car of soon and I will definetly be cleaning the engine bay soon.

The reason I resorted to being a dick, was because I was very angry and shocked at the fact that most people that responded in this thread thought that I was saying my car was worth 9k which it obviously isnt.

I realize that in parts of the US e30s are worth more in some areas, and are a dime a dozen in others. Its interesting to see the price difference across the country. I also do know that the economy is in the tanks and selling anything right now is not a very good idea.
