Again, your car is REALLY going in a great direction. You can keep great performance and get the look you want out of it without getting too drastic by cutting anything. Cheers.

I know this is sacrilage on this site, but you might want to try running a wider tire next time (at 215 or 225, your sidewall will be taller and fill that front gap a lot more). Therefore, you won't have to even think about cutting those beautiful springs.. You might have to roll your fenders, but you'll be able to keep your spring rates and the people that know the know won't be able to make fun of you. Not that that matters, nor any of this really..

I'll admit that I'm willing to go through tires faster than i should, in exchange for a bit of negative camber on the rear wheels. It helps them clear fenders (and i like the look of the neg. camber).
From what I've read online, cutting one of the dead coils from the front springs wont have any ill effect other than potentially causing the spring to not remain fully seated when decompressed. I think this becomes more of a concern if both of the 'deadcoils' are removed from the spring. The rate of the spring won't be affected. Cutting my brand new h&r race springs seemed a bit drastic at first, but seems to be in the clear after research.
The 205/45s look amazing on this size wheel. I fully agree that a taller tire is beneficial, but I wanted to make these RS's look as good as possible this time.
