It's cool if you do. Keep your cardinal if you can, I couldn't keep my seats so i had the recovered black, but I kept my doorcards, all i did was replaced the pulls and pockets with black ones.
I would keep the aluminum trim on the windows, it looks best because your door trim has aluminum in it as well.

Yeah when I say painting the window trim I mean the winshield and rear glass. The stuff that was originally crome and has now turned a gross yellow, not the side window trim. And yes the cardinal red is here to stay.

I painted that black, i would get a bottle of 303 and protect that dash, it looks like there aren't any cracks.
A couple suggestions would be a maplight rearview and an airbag knee bolster. I have pics of the bolster in my car if you want to see it. Dual trunk lights, and George's auto dimming interior mod is pretty cooa as well. These are just little touches that while fairly un-noticable will make your 87 a bit cooler and add some creature comforts alot of us wish came standard.
Thanks, I used a vinyl protected on the dash once, but am not sure what the best way to take car of a dash is. How often should one put on this protectant? I was afraid that too much moisture could possibly lead to cracking also, I try to keep it out of the sun and keep the sunroof cracked open too keep the heat down. I know that finding and putting in a dash is no fun. As far as wheels go I think I want to stick with 16s over 17s because tires are cheaper, more sidewall= less likely to bend a rim on chicagos shitty shitty streets, lighter weight, and I just don't like the look of huge wheels. Any other wheel suggestions please?
Get some blacked out side markers off E-Bay - they go a long way towards minimizing the Diving Board bumper system and making the car look better. I see you already have blacked out turn signals.
