Figgered i'd stop and take a few pics...

Well i was driving around Boulder, CO today looking for a job, and i decided to take a quick detour into the mountains, and i parked in a decent spot and snapped a few.

Yes, my car looks like shit, but the scenery was not bad.

Except without the kitschy 'German' tourist-trapiness. Damn it, now I've got a craving for a Bockwurst and a round at Icicle Junction Mini-Golf...

Oh, and the car looks great, just re-paint the rockers and she'll be tits!

          Simple and nice.

Are the tires 205/55 or 205/50?

          Thanks

thanks for the compliments on the car dudes! it really is in some dire need of a full body resto, and yes the rockers drive me nuts.

the tires are 205/50, so the overall diameter is a little less than stock, thus making my speedometer read 5 mph higher than actual.

Thanks for the info. Im planning on running 205/50 over my 205/55 right now. I find their to bubbly. Your stance is perfect.

why thank you, kind sir. Actually, i would like the front to be a tad lower. I actually ordered a couple of OEM front spring hats from Pelican, and i am going to cut them up and weld them so that they are drop hats effective for about 1/4" drop in the front. That should be about perfect.

oh btw i have H&R Race springs and Bilstien Sport shocks, with all stock spring pads in.

they usually raise the front, don't they? I know there is a set that actually lowers the front, but they are like $300. Stock spring hats are like $9.37 each. And i have a buddy who pretty much has a machine shop in his garage, and i'll just pick up a sheet of 1/4" steel and do the work, thus super cheap.

i'll do what this guy did: http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/show...ight=drop+hats

Gotcha. Yeah, the GC's lower the car like 7/8ths of an inch I believe, but yes they are that price. Your plan sounds like a good one.

Should be cool to see how the final product turns out, if I were you I'd try to drop slightly more than 1/4 of an inch though, that's not much at all.

actually i'm wrong, if i do it the way ditchdigger did it in his thread, it should lower the front 5/8", not 1/4", that's my bad.
