    Got me a new toy....

Got my first bike today... Rode it up and down the driveway a few times and now I am itching to get my permit and take a saftey course... I knew I would like it, just not sure how much. I will say that I wouldn't have bought this bike, but since it was traded to me and everyone raves about it, I will give it a shot.
    Mods:
Full fairing, turn signal delete, large windshield (have small one too) tank bag, rear seat bag, otherwise stock. 19k miles, very nice condition with no signs of wear.

And please don't tell me I need more power. This is a 1L bike with 140hp, so its total overkill for my purposes as it is... lol

It just makes them flush to the fairing so they don't stick out. They are still there, just smaller... I didn't do it, bike came just like it is right now.

Those are great bikes and very quick town a curvy in the right hands. Take it to a pro and let them setup the suspension, will make a huge difference to have to the droop comp/rebound set correctly.

A good buddy of mine used to blow past the squids on his in the turns, with his wife on back.

+1. Great bike, gotta respect the throttle! Also, more gear = less scars.

                Have fun!

You'll have fun. Can't be stressed enough, make sure you take the msf course. Don't know where on the east coast you're moving to, but in PA it's free! Can't beat that. Just your $10 for your permit, and sign up. You won't regret taking it, you very well may regret NOT taking it!

Good luck. Be safe. Keep it on one wheel! ;)

The FZs are great bikes. Plenty of power since the power plant is similar to it's equivalent R1 and pretty decent handling. I loved my FZ6.

Just remember, always rock a jacket. I don't imagine Norcal being too hot, but if it is, get a mesh jacket. Saved my skin twice already.
