Looks tough. I really like the photography too, they look like polaroids but more awesome.

I think the pics look okay; you should have taken a little later in the day when there's less light so the HDR really comes out.
Plus it'll reduce alot of the glare you have on the car.
Nice car though, even the volvo lip looks pretty good!

A little too much PP, simmer it down a bit and they would be pretty good.

Those are tone mapped. Not technically HDR. Little too much PP for my taste.

The black and white are alright but the colors are off and too contrasty in the color one imo.

                  What dinan said.

the camera was a canon 50D with a Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM with a 77mm circular polarizer. my friend took those and edited them right quick before she left back for texas just to show me a few things but she is coming back out in a few weeks and we are going to do a legit shoot and shes gunna show me how to do a little PP. thanks for all the advice guys here are a few more shots that are alright with me and the car

oh and if taking three different contrasts and merging them together is not HDR then what is?

That is the general idea of HDR is what you are saying but you shoot -1/0/+1. However HDR turns into what you have done because a single exposure would have properly exposed the picture.

The idea of HDR is to take all the details from the shadows and all the details from the highlights and merge them together. So you have some dark shadows and blown out highlights in 1 photo. Combine them into 1 and you are creating HDR.

If it is a daylight photo of a car sitting there you more than likely can do a single, proper exposure and you will be all set.

I've been messing around with HDR recently, can't wait till the next storm so i can do a nice car shoot. Here's a boring little living room one i did...

Still using the free trial, so that's why the type's on there.
