Now I can sell Funnel Cakes or my M3 got a new home

Got a good deal on a trailer so I grabbed it up to haul the M3 around with. Then I decided it was probably too much to pull with my old truck so I bought a new truck. Yes, I know, I've gone WAY off the deep end.

Truck is an '05 GMC Sierra 1500HD. Same as a 3/4 ton non-HD. 6.0 gas engine, tow package with trans temp gauge etc, 3.73 posi diff.

Trailer is a '00 model 24' enclosed box with drop down ramp and doors on both sides. Came with a TV, futon, mini-fridge, and even has AC. I put the TV in the garage, fridge in the house and left the futon in there

Was nice this past Sunday to not have to change wheels at the track.

Trailer weighs 4700 empty, car around 2700, so even with tools and a few other things I'm around 8,000lbs. Since the truck is an HD it has a tow capacity of 10,500lbs. It was a little slow taking off but cruised nice at 65-70.

Brodee, what'd the trailer set you back if I may ask? I might be picking one up in the next few months, and it'd be nice to get an idea of what something like that goes for...

Wow, that's a nice setup! Almost too nice. ;)

My only gripe... All the guys out there buying gas trucks with huge motors, bad gas mileage, and they usually struggle to tow anything heavy. Everyone thinks of a Cummins Dodge and thinks redneck but NOTHING compares to the power, mileage and reliability they will give you.

I'm a fan of gas trucks, I've spent many a mile driving to go hunting, camping, etc.....

BUT, diesel for a dedicated heavy tow rig....

Can't get the diesel in a 1500HD, only the 6.0. If I were towing a 5er or something heavy like that often I would have thought about a diesel, I did look at a few. Got a good deal on this truck and I can work on it, I've never worked on a diesel.

And if any of you ever see me driving a dodge just shoot me there on the spot to save me from myself.
