Hey, where did you get this fabric, how much waffleswaffleswaffles sit cost per yard or whatever the way is cutted does cost?

Also, does someone knows if this could match in color/texture the OEM e30 m3 trunk carpet? I need one for my m3.

Try RIT fabric dye on the tool kit. I've used it several times to dye various plastics all kinds of colors. Then it can't rub off.

I usually do it on the stove top, but obviously that won't work here. Hot water in a Rubbermaid tub though should work.

EDIT: Didn't notice the date. My bad on the epic bump.

That turned out really awesome! Good job.

also, +1 on black large tool kits. they look just awesome on white e30s. also, if you didnt use flexible paint, it will chip off pretty easy. there's something about the tool kits that makes them not like to retain paint. the krylon plastic paint works the best as i've found, but dont take the tools in and out often. it'll show from where they rub coming in and out.

but now I want to get myself that 6'er's tool box. I didnt realize it had spots to hold other things unlike the one from a 5'er that holds just tools.

Looks great!! I used SEM on some trim pieces on my mk2 when I re-rapped my headliner and they have held up great for 4+ years. As long as you prepped it fairly well, you should be fine.

Do you still live in Corvallis? I'm livin' down there now too and I'd love to come see your cars! I also run up Mary's Peak every other week or so with some friends you should join?!

And I have been reproducing the foam the kit rests upon if you want to buy one, if not no worries just throwing it out there. It looks great as is though, nice job :)
I just used a jig saw to cut the cardboard after tracing out a pattern using the toolkit. I may try to replace the old foam, that would be cool.

SEM trim paint. It's probably not the best stuff to use, ideally i should have gotten some kind of special flexible plastic paint, maybe SEM bumper paint or that special Krylon for plastic. I may repaint it soon if it starts to chip or rub off.
