Woodward Dream Cruise 2009 *(LOTS OF PICS)*

MORE PICS ON PAGE 2 AND 3

This past August a few of my buddies and I went up to Detroit for a couple days to enjoy the Woodward Dream Cruise. There are always amazing cars at the cruise, and sure enough this year was no different. I borrowed my buddy's D90 and a couple of lenses for the trip. I'm not that experienced shooting with DSLRs (or SLRs), but there was a ton of cool cars and I thought you guys would like to see them. Enjoy!!

    CC welcome.

Car we drove up in: 2004 STi with stock location gt30 putting down around 430 awhp. It was fun :pimp:

Met up with our buddy Adam who was interning for Honda in Ohio for the summer. Rode from there to Detroit with these guys.

    He liked the STi

Finally got to Detroit in the evening. Had a huge dinner and passed out as we were up the next morning for the dream cruise!!

On the way home, we got a chance to play with an M6 . The result surprised me. From 70-130 the STi put about 1.5 car lengths. The M6 deff would've clawed it back in the end, but pretty awesome none the less. Only good pick I got at all:

Was a pretty awesome trip, every car nut should experience it once!!

I love that car so much! It's really made me a huge Subaru fan. It's like a part of the group in a weird way. I've watched that thing progress from stock (still fast) STi, to blown the hell up, to a wingless, relatively built (Cosworth heads and cams and forged pistons), super safe pwnage M6 killer. She's grown up quite a bit :giggle:

I mean I tried to include a variety of cars, so don't be fooled. It felt like Detroit, American classics everywhere! I picked these out because I liked the variety (and these happened to turn out the best lol)

Don't be fooled, there was still lots of American machinery there in motor city. But it did have a good mix regardless. All that was missing was a DTM replica E30 ;)
