You're totally upside down at six grand, so you're paying ten or twelve grand, or whatever you've got in that thing, to put toward one year's property tax. And it's coming next year, too, and the year after that.

Can you work out something to pay the tax over longer? People are in all sorts of hurt, and it I imagine the state would be more accommodating rather than make headlines putting people out of homes by grinding them on the due date.
