Hey guys,
New to the forum, I've been an e39 guy up until now (528i, 540i, and now an e39 m5). I came across a fantastic opportunity recently to pick up a 1989 325ix from it's original owner of 21 years (bought new in 1988 ).
The car came with 21 years of service history, the original purchase paperwork, receipts easily topping 25k CDN of maintenance and modifications (Dinan ECU, exhaust, suspension work, 3 sets of wheels) over the car's lifetime. The owner of the car also has an M coupe, super nice guy, and he was looking for someone who could bring the car back to life cosmetically, and someone who would drive it more since he hasn't driven the car much for the last few years other than in winter.
I spent all my free time in a little under 2 weeks working on the car, painting some parts, replacing others, and in general trying to make it look as good as I could in the short period of time I was working with (since it was getting colder by the day here in Michigan!).
Here is the end product of my work with some before pics thrown in as well:
One of my m5 really quick:

a link to the rest of the m5 pics:
and onto the e30!
Before

And after!

I am loving this car so far, almost gives me as much joy to drove as my m5!
