if its lower then the valve cover then it might be a head gasket. you don't need to be mixing oil and water or losing water or even alot of oil to have blowen one. mine was blowen in the back of the block and wasn't losing any water, and just a bit of oil.
New to r3v and e30s!

A 4.10 is fine. Take it from someone who knows. Buy the Mark D or the full Miller performance swap.Last edited by delatlanta1281; 11-17-2009, 08:52 PM.Yours truly,

I would check the oil pressure sender and the oil filter seals before listening to this guy. They are directly below the exhaust manifolds to the front of the block, and they tend to leak when they get older. Not saying Ben is wrong, just saying he is probably wrong.

If when I take the valve cover off and the gasket is fine and I torque the head bolts more and there is still a leak. Ill look at those possibilities more.

You also might want to check out the rubber filler do dads (technical) that slip into the front of the head as well. there are actually 4 of them. Two in the front, and two in the back. BTW just b/c you torque down the 10 mm nuts doesn't mean your VC gasket won't leak.Yours truly,
Rich

SEM is worthless as seating area paint. It is NOT an actual "Dye", you have to use something like Leatherique for that.
There are a few leather paints on the market, but not one I would use as a front seat paint.

I hope leatherique would stain still if it has been painted before.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.
