    if its lower then the valve cover then it might be a head gasket. you don't need to be mixing oil and water or losing water or even alot of oil to have blowen one. mine was blowen in the back of the block and wasn't losing any water, and just a bit of oil.

    Where are our e30s known to have oil leaks?
    I'm analyzing more and more and I'm not sure if its the valve cover. It looks a little lower.. near the headers maybe

    Valve cover gasket and rocker shaft plugs ordered!
    Should be here by the end of the week at the latest! :)

    Here is a rough list of some things i need to do

    First Priorities
    1. New tires
    2. New valve cover gasket (ordered along with rocker shaft plugs, should be in this week)
    3. Pinpoint location of any other leaks and fix them

    Interior needs

    1. New seats or re-spray
    2. New sunroof crank
    3. New shift boot (ordered)
    5. Fix loose panels
    6. Cd/mp3 deck and speakers
    7. New steering wheel
    8. New dash or crack filler or dash cover (minor 3 or so inch crack)


    Exterior Needs

    I put the shift knob you gave me on last night because the other one was spinning to much. I'm already comfortable driving a stick and the car runs
    amazing. I'm so glad I got this car and the paint and body is in great condition. The first thing I'm doing is getting all new tires and fixing that leak. We are thinking the leak is coming from the valve cover. Soo I am going to replace the valve cover gasket.

    I've heard the best things about Mark D chips.

    And you don't want a 3.25 rear end. Since you already have a 3.73 lsd I'd just leave that in there. 4.09 is pretty short and will leave your engine spinning pretty fast on the freeway.
