I thought I was doing a good job on my engine bay, cleaning it with a toothbrush and all, then rubbing compound and polishing...until I saw 325Projectz's e30 M3 bay anyways.

      325Projectz e30 M3 engine bay

After wiping up the tears and realizing what I thought was an impressively clean bay for a 25 year old car until I saw the above photo. All the cleaning and detailing seemed to be a waste now because I want to shave every little bracket and fill every unused hole. The only difference is I am keeping A/C. E30 owners continue to set new standards I'm having trouble keeping up with lol!

Don't keep A/C... Roll with the windows down.

This is what I'm trying to do with my engine bay. I'm in the process of seeing if I can get an M42 radiator to work with my engine, so I can get rid of the external expansion tank. Once that's gone, pretty much the whole passenger side of my engine bay will be totally bare.

It's already there, just having to make a couple lines to the new compressor. Obviously it will look cleaner without it but I'm not concerned about the power loss. I'm aiming for a conservative high 300's and the compressor will turn off at WOT anyways...

An e36 radiator should do the trick if you don't find an M42.

Whew, thank you! Conservative Group B styling was what the goal was and those two cars is exactly where the idea came from. It will probably be getting a rally light bar on the front and won't doubt if it has a roof rack w/ fairing from time to time. Depends on how fast I want to get a bike or kayak up the mountain lol!

I have another awesome idea. I know this cool dude up in NJ with some amazing cars that could use an apprentice at his body shop. No charge, just need a corner for a sleeping bag trading labor for resources.

PM me with price, I would prefer one damaged or rough shape since I'll be hacking it up anyways. I don't wanna "ruin" a good one lol!
