    R.I.P. E30 Parts

Had a couple deliveries this week and thus some parts going to be going bye bye in the quest for better looks and more performance. Also just snapped a couple photos around the vehicle as I went.

M52 is here tomorrow! Going to be anxiously waiting for it! Have a trans, new driveshaft and all of the parts going in quickly! Cannot wait!

Should be the last pics of diving boards, m20 and the current ride height!

Oh yeah and I broke down and got coilovers. Getting the shocks revalved and upping the spring rate. Excited to have the Ground Control caster/camber plates as well! Should be a fun car next year on the track!

yeah wasn't there a thread called something like "won't be slamming this one" or something?

to be fair, i think he qualifies "slamming" as eur0hstretch with coils.

i'm glad proper tire sizes are being kept on this one.

Wouldnt it have been cheaper and easier to buy everything new? I mean if your having the bilies revalved and the spring rates changed.

I mean you paid what 850 shipped for that stuff from Jordan?
You could have bought everything new for 250 more?

            Wheels are 16x8" et20 Rota's with 225/45 tires, correct?
            Any rubbing issues?

^^ But they would have not been massaged and tucked into bed by an e30 demi-god.

I drive it everyday. You can't daily an m52? Or coilovers?

My other car is a low 328iC. Can't track that but can track a swapped e30. The goal was swapped and awesome handling. Just getting to that point.

Won't be slamming it. Front will be slightly lower and bringing the rear up a little bit actually. And yes. There won't be stretched tires and super low ride height. Guess my wording should have been different.

Still though. Coilovers don't equal slammage. Just need for my personal taste the front to be slightly lower and rear raised up a bit.

Possible. These are already setup and yes I am revalving but they have camber plates on them already. Come as assemblies so keep my downtime to a minimum.

I was hoping shocks and springs get me where I want. Unfortunately it didn't. Probably means I lost a little money in the overall deal.

                Yup.

There is slight rubbing on rolled fenders if you are REALLY pushing it hard in the corners.

                    How about the struts?

It fit so I didn't really check or look really closely.

I will climb under there and look. Fits like a glove really.

Hmmm, Sounds like you should have bought the ground control kit.

I have what I want now. Oh well about everything else. I will end up where I want to end up even if I didn't take a straight line. No worries.

Glad you stepped up to some coils.

Why does EVERYONE get springs/shocks only to realize that it looks just as bad on their car as it does online, even though they hope it will look better on their car. It just baffles my mind, seriously, so many people do this.
