    New Guy

Hello all. well im new to this forum as well as bmws. i just picked up my first which is a 1987 325i convertible. so far all i've done is some maintenance and replacing missing/broken parts. the car had different color panels so i sanded it down did most of the body work and primered it for the time being. the seats need replacing and it's lowered on H&R race springs.

one question: is it possible to make it look good with metal bumpers for should i do the face lift?

    1. clean that crap off your fogs
    2. dont do primer get a gloss color at least
    3. take the tape off
metal bumpers look good with a gloss color and a chrome kidneys

            Welcome.

            Metals can look good.
As mentioned, clean that stuff off your fogs.
Get chrome kidneys. (the grill thing, looks like this [][])
And find a DIY on tucking your metal bumpers.
A rear apron can be nice aswell with a nice chrome exhaust I think.

All this is after your paint I'm suggesting though.

No, do a facelift or euro bumpers. Metal bumpers suck.

I hope you're painting it soon.... because that looks absolutely terrible.

thanks for the welcomes guys. as for the car i got it as a rolling shell. i had to piece together the front end and the passenger door. i don't have money so primering it 1 color was my only option. im going to paint it an oem red but thats down the line after i have it all up to date and complete. i've also gotten new high beam lights since the ones that came with the car (as you see) has the "x" painted on them.

and yes i do also have a honda but no i do not "rice" them out. my green sedan is in the middle of a rebuild as a track car.

                            bmw looks dirty, i likey.

interested in seeing track honda as well. One of the quickest cars I have driven on track was a badass hatch.

thanks. my civic isn't nothing too special, just a b16 turbo at 8psi. just trying to have fun with it unlike the rest of the retards out there hard parking their cars and revving at ppl on the streets.

and the plans for my e30 is to restore it to a nice reliable cruiser. maybe a m50 swap.
