    New Car! (non e30 content)

As I had recently posted, my beloved e30 was stolen last monday while I was out of town. Unfortunately I didn't have comprehensive insurance (300k at 23 years, wasn't exactly necessary - I thought). Thanks to my parents helping me out I was able to buy an e36 yesterday. Major thanks to Austin (ieatpeople) who drove me down to Richmond, VA to get the car last night. I'm the 4th owner, Carfax showed all three previous owners took the car to the dealership, engine runs really strong, tranny feels great!

Obviously this car isn't going to stay stock for too long, the shifter is sloppy so I'm definitely getting a new SSK and Lighted shift knob. Desperately needs new wheels, but the bottle caps are perfect for winter. It's got a nice Autopage alarm system, I tried the door handle while it was locked and the siren went off, multiple shock sensors, etc. Definitely gonna need HIDs and clear sidemarkers and turn signals. not that interested in body kit stuff for a DD. Definitely need a new steering wheel. And heated seats are awesome!!!

I've always liked the e36 and this 4door is the perfect DD so I'm gonna keep it. I've had my eye on a calypsorot e30 up in PA so hopefully in a few months I can get it (dealer wants 2k for a 225k car with fading paint and torn up interior! hahaha!)

    Bostongrun-Metallic
    Beige Interior
    5spd transmission
    130k original miles.

Can someone decode the VIN for me?

Nice. If all else fails, you'll be able to swap that m50 into a new e30.

I was looking at e36s on Autotrader and wonderd if there were two green 5sp 4drs in the DC area.

sorry to hear about the e30 :(

i dont know why, but every 3 series after the E30 i cant fucking stand the 4 door models, and i dont even like the E30 4 door that much.

that being said, it looks like it's in really good shape, hopefully you'll get lots of fun out of it

Nice, but did someone have a jack snafu behind the pass-side front wheel?

Nice car. Can't say that I love the color combo, but it is in great shape and I would probably go for it too. Good luck with your e30, if you ever get it back. The e36 is a nice car, similar mechanically to the e30, so that is a plus. Some nice silver wheels would look nice on there.
