yeah it sucks, but as long as they don't salt the roads it shouldn't lead to rust at all. Besides, I'm not driving until things clear up. Car just sat all day yesterday/today. It could get around too, I have the all-seasons from my e36 on there. Don't want to risk it with other drivers though, noone knows how to drive in the snow down here.

and as far as cold goes; as much as high 20's sucks for those of you native southerners, back home in Buffalo it's 5, so at least it's not that bad

It is. I took my girlfriends e30 out to the supermarket today, and the parking lot in the area was completely empty. So I decided to just go sliding around, and as soon as I straightened out, a cop drove around the corner... haha

As long as you load the rear down, the bmws are solid.

unless things have changed VA does not use salt, they use a mix of sand and cinder ash.

Glad I had the jeep, Hemi + 4WD = win. I was out driving when we had 2 ft on the ground and never got stuck once. But sadly I did have to pull a e30 out of a ditch this weekend.

I hate it when roads are salted. It ruins paint and is a pain to drive at spirited paces with it on the ground

no salt here so far, and everything is pretty much melting today so it looks like I'm in the clear

david; sorry buddy, but I probably won't take pics of my car until I put my contours on (waiting until it gets closer to spring, the current all seasons are probably a lot better). also need to put the "is" lip on. and hopefully this business starts balling out soon so I can buy a daily driver. at which point I'll crank down my coilovers and slam this bitch.

also, once I have another bike in the driveway, I'll probably s/c the touring

It's been in the mid 30's (Deg cels) down here in Melbourne.

Convertion for our Northern Hemisphere friends is:

                              25 deg/C = 77 deg/F

                              35 deg/C = 95 deg/F

Yesterday in Melbourne, Australia not Florida, it was 37 deg/C = 98.6 deg/F
