Ditto. Much better angle than having someone stand around the infield.

Lolz..not much different in weight vs 24v swaps :) Just not as "plug and play" since it needs custom mounts.

^ I'd venture to say it's more plug and play than 24v swaps... mainly because you can buy fabricated mounts from a few different sources. Beyond that, I'm still on the M20 engine harness. No wiring at all required. :)

Yeah, I was very happy to start using a chase car. Apparently they were happy with helping out so they said they will be down to provide more chase car footage as soon as the e30 is back on the road!

Ive read many different things, including your motors on the scale. It will be hard to go w/out AC though. Most importantly, this swap is cheaper. The mounts arent an issue, Ive met a local guy who makes them.

Someone else uploaded the full unedited video. I was going to save it for an edited mix, but if anyone wants to see, here you go:

At the end I cut up short because you see the track owner drive straight into me (then swerve off track) as I was fully sideways there. Apparently waiting 'til I finished wasn't soon enough.

Nothing planned right now. I am going to start looking into doing the St.Pete IRL Demo in April if they are doing it again this year.

i realize he owns the track and therefore can pretty much do whatever but what an asshole, he should know better than to come onto track while you're sideways. great moves dude
