wow, an X5 with 100,000 miles-- I hope you have some money saved up for repairs.

i love the older X5s-- you just need some larger/wider wheels and its perfect. and the 3.0 is a great motor they hold up forever and are alot cheaper for repairs than the Vc. We have a 3.0d in our service mobil from my work-- the diesel is nice!

Diesel in SUVs FTW. THe new X5 3.5d is freakin awesome, and gets great gas mileage. Even the new 3.0 isn't too bad, that little N54 puts out 265hp in X5 guise. But the 4.8i puts out 350 and only takes a 1.5mpg hit in combined driving over the 3.0. What the new X5 really needs is the twin turbo 6 that the X6 gets. It'd get the same mileage as the regular 3.0 because it wouldn't have to work nearly as hard, and give way more power.

OT: The X5 gets the NA 3.0 and the NA 4.8, while the X6 gets the TT 3.0 and the TT 4.4. Why?? I don't get it, why the segregation? I want the TT 3.0 in every freakin car they make, even the 7. That engine is fucking amazing.
