    sad stuff

I was ignoring the fact that my steering issue was getting worse, having to top off the P.s fluid every week or so. I was told that I needed a new steering rack a few days ago, and I underestimated it. All **** went to hell around a bend and I flew over a curb at ~30mph. Had the day off today, so I grabbed a hammer & pad and fixed most of the fender. But now I noticed a little bit of frame damage. Its a cm. crack only on the passenger side. I really need to fix this, but i'm studying it in depth. I am not going to let go of this car.

I really would love your guys' input on this, my mind is a frantic mess at the moment.

here's the damage. the crack towards the left side of the picture. its not that deep looking from the other side. ~cm.

I want to know if i can fix this, or if this is directly causing the odd position of my wheel. Thought it was the control arm. Can this be counteracted through adjustment of camber/caster?

sorry for sounding so anixous, but I'm really scattered at the moment.

that is like a crack cause by the damage of hitting the curb i think. it looks like it needs to be pulled then welded and that is it. that curb is what fucked you up. it puched the tire back and that cause the metal to wrinkle then crack

im guessing this process is very costly.

yeah abby. my lucks been pretty shitty lately. it just happened out of nowhere.
when i get this fixed, im just going to buy a nice car cover for it, and leave it at home.
i have too many feeling attached to this car, and would hate to see something serious happen to it.

It's a 2008 Audi RS4 that his parents bought him as a winter beater.

there appears to be some buckling and of course the crack just forward of the subframe. in order to get the suspension geometry correct, it will most likely need to go onto a frame rack and get pulled back where it belongs. This probably isnt something that should be attempted at home, and will most likely not be a cheap fix. serious frame integrity issues could result from an improper repair
