Not new to euro's but new to BMW's

Picked it up for $500. Runs and drives great! It has some rattling sound when the clutch is engaged. I'm guessing it's the pilot bearing and came with no front seats.

The first things I have planned for it is LSD, coilovers and wheels (obviously).

I'm looking for good threads on coilover reviews but I can't seem to find any. Anyone mind pointing me in the right direction?

      Dang, those wheels are horrific.

Looks like you had an iS front valence at some point, I suggest getting one to cover up that front. Ground Control is the only practical coilover option, really.

The rattling sound may be the Getrag Rattle, an endemic noise common to many e30 transmissions.

good find! as for coilovers, the best ones i know are custom made by the castro's in LA (race proven) and it's cost efficient.

Yeah the previous owner took it out to a dry lake bed and the south west just got over some pretty heavy rainstorms. It's all clean now, I'm going to take some rubbing compound to it this weekend.

Actually you're reading the title wrong. My first car was a Corrado, then I currently have a Mk3 Jetta and that Mk2 GTI. What's awesome is how every single sensor and connector looks exactly like a digi Mk2! Gotta love Bosch.
