Welcome, and nice ride, I like the blue. 86' or 87'?

Just try not to take most of the disparaging eta remarks around here...

Like the fact that etas suck, because, like I said, that's a fact. ;)

      Clean car OP.

If you are looking for a nice DD, the eta is just fine. That, and it is just a few small steps from an eta to a 2.7i...

Shes an 87, picked her up for 1500. Blue on blue. The drivers seat is shot..I have a soccer ball behind it so I dont fall into the back seat. Suspension is pretty far gone as well. Overall very satisfied. I was going to order the stage 3 race springs from Ireland engineering along with Blisteins all around unless anyone can tell me otherwise. Heres my first dumb question...The coil over kit they sell can be used with this set up, or do you need specific springs? Excuse the ignorance.

I think anyone that says the "ETA SUCKS!!" just bought one expecting to compete with 325i/is and found out the hard way. It's the economy model, people. It doesn't suck. It's a fabulous vehicle. I loved my ETA. Not fast, but I got nearly 30mpg.

My '91 318is is GREAT DD. It's not the fastest out there, but plenty of quick and I get 32mpg.

OP - Great lookin' ride! I have friends at Lake Steven's.
                      Need a part? PM me.

I miss my eta so much. I picked up my Ix for about the same price, I can't lie though, I bet if I went back to driving my eta for a week I'd be dying to get back behind a b25.

I just picked up an '88 super eta, coming from an M50 E30. I haven't actually driven it yet, but I've started it, and immediately fell in love with it. I still own the M50 car and I'm already making plans to build up that M20.

nice. the 88 eta is great because it has the right motor for a 2.7i, and you can put plastic bumpers on it. of course you know this thats probably why you got it!
